Drupal 7 and Facebook HipHop

Well, after some fiddling it built and I tried to run it, only to see:

HipHop: File not found:

That's it... what file?

Having spent a whole day getting another PHP project to try to run, I am starting to wonder why Facebook bothered to release it. The documentation is 'there' but by no means awesome, at least like Drupal documentation is awesome.

The command line switches start to make sense after a while but on a fast new machine, it still seems to spend a lot of time doing 'nothing' as it doesn't really output any status information... it scans build and links CPP files in 65 ms it says, only to spend another one minute and four seconds 'doing something'.

Right now I can't help thinking that it's all about 'Look, we are clever but we don't want you or anybody else writing Facebook2 with it'...

If anybody else has managed to get Drupal 7 compiled and running I'd love to know how... tomorrow I try again!
