Longstone IT

This site is a simple brochure like site, implemented with Drupal 7. This is the first phase of the job, just getting the site up and running. The client has yet to actually change the content to real content but this is because that they are very very busy at the moment doing what they do best; supporting other business in the south-west. In these recession hit times that makes living with lorem ipsum a little more bearable I would have thought!

Phase two is currently under design and planning; a ticketing and CRM system that will be completely bespoke and will be used to allow clients to log in, check their tickets and to pay bills online. The client back-end will also allow invoices to be raised, expenses incurred (e.g. purchasing new equipment) against a job to be tracked and for SMS and email notifications as tickets are completed. OBJITSU can help you integrate SMS into your business plan, it's a great revenue stream as well as great for customer feedback and PR.

The front page consists of a customised view, one built by the nodequeue module. This means that the client can add more service pages as and when they need to, they have a few more things that they are developing internally and then wish to launch another external service to clients. This ranges from building a custom server, to installing CAT-5 all over the place or sorting out software installation problems.

The three big black icons on the homepage also link to pages and again they were built using a nodequeue and styling the output, again making it flexible and configurable by the client.

OBJTISU always believe in building systems that do not have limits. Why should you allow 'N' things per 'M' in any situation if there are no obvious constraints regarding memory, response time etc. ? It's just crazy in our book and we try to provide the best future-proofed solutions at minimum cost to our clients all of the time. It's always worth it!

The services pages is also built with a nodequeue, the same one that does the home page except that a new block-display was created for it and that was manipulated using the Manage Displays option in the back-end to slightly re-arrange the rendering order and then CSS applied. The Manage Displays feature is truly awesome and it's going to be some time before its true impact is realised. We for one are playing with it every day to see what can be done to avoid creating custom templates, if you can do it with a 'Display' and CSS then that's truly inspiring.

The contact page uses the standard Drupal contact page with an image CAPTCHA to cut down spam, sadly any unprotected form these days is a viable target for some evil spam-bot somewhere.
